"Jökulsarlón is a large lagoon that is filled with slabs of ice that have split off the distant Glacier of Breiðamerkurjökull. The icebergs in the lagoon are constantly moving and changing shape as they slowly melt, creating endless different compositions. As evening approached, the wind temporarily dropped, creating calm enough conditions for some good reflections. Typical of the Iceland, within an hour the weather had changed again, a strong wind had started to blow and it started to rain heavily, so I retreated to the shelter of my nearby car." |
