"The result of an idea for an image that I'd had for some time. The shot would need to be taken on a ridge, with the field dropping away to a relatively straight and low distant horizon to the west. Once I'd found the right field, I had to wait until the Barley seed heads were fully ripe. I got a good set of photographs, taken as the sun set over the course of an hour. A week later the field had been harvested."
