"As the tide reached its lowest point, extensive rock ledges with a few scattered boulders were revealed. This group of boulders provided an attractive composition as foreground interest in a portrait image with the eastern headland of Kimmeridge Bay in the background. Facing eastwards, the evening sky took on a pink glow reaching its peak about half an hour after the sun had set. The soft twilight colours were reflected in the calm foreshore waters surrounding the smooth boulders and these elements alone provided a satisfying composition."
