"The small island of Grassholm hosts the 3rd largest colony of Northern Gannets in the world with around 35,000 pairs. I took a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) the 12 miles off shore from the Pembrokeshire coast to visit the island at the peak of the breeding season. It was a calm and misty day, so not the bright sunshine I was hoping for. However the misty conditions have helped to create an almost monochrome image as this individual glided just overhead, the only colour evident being the yellow flush around the birds head."
